HAZY, HOT, AND HUMID UNDER MAINLY SUNNY SKIES AT BLUE HILL….

Sunshine has been the theme today with some convective cumulus
clouds developing early this afternoon in the hot and humid
air mass over the region. Temperatures have approached 90F
here on the summit, but have risen into the lower 90s in the
surrounding areas at the base.

The dew point remains on the high side with values in the mid
to upper 60s. So it feels pretty sticky again today, especially
since there has not been much of a breeze so far today.

The wind has been light for the most part today, but is
starting to show some signs of picking up a bit this afternoon.
The average speed so far for the day is around 8mph. The peak
gust so far is around 17mph, which occurred just after 1am this
morning.

Visibility has been limited today due to haziness, generally
holding between 15-20 miles.

The maximum temperature so far today is 90F, this is 8 degrees
above the normal high of 82F. The minimum since midnight is 70F,
which is 6 degrees above the normal low of 64F.
