ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
EARLY MORNING THUNDERSTORMS AND WIND FROM THE NE
BRING COOLER TEMPERATURES TO GREAT BLUE HILL…
Thunderstorms began early this morning with a strong
band moving through around 4:30 A.M. We had moderate
wind gusts during this time with a peak of 28 MPH at
4:26 A.M. Rain was heavy at times and we measured a
storm total of 0.73 ins.
The wind yesterday was mostly coming from the west
yesterday shifted overnight and its now coming
from the NE. This has brought cooler drier air into
the area with a max so far of 72F. This is 19 degrees
below the high temperature of 91F and 9 degrees below
the daily normal of 81F.
The wind has been moderate today as the pressure rises
from the thunderstorm. So far we have had a peak gust
of 26 MPH (23 kts) and frequent gust over 25 MPH
(22 kts).
The sky was mostly cloudy today with a mixture of
altocumulus clouds throughout the day. Visibility was
limited to 40-45 miles today due to a distant haze.
