SOME SNOWFALL TO END OFF A DRY MONTH….
Today we measured 4.2 inches of snow this morning, with
an additional 1/10th inch falling between 7 A.M. and 10 A.M.
Liquid precipitation total was 0.29 inches for the whole
event, yielding a 15:1 snow to liquid ratio.
We are behind on snow for the month, still being over 8
inches under the monthly average snow total. However, we
are 2 inches above the seasonal total thanks to abundant
snowfall in December.
Wind has been light and northwesterly, with a peak gust around
12 mph.
Visibility was 2 miles on average during the snowfall, opening
up to almost 20 miles after it ended.
The high temperature so far today is 33F, this is a degree
below the daily normal maximum of 34F. The low since midnight
is 27F, which is 10 degrees above the normal minimum of 17F.
