CLOUDS THICKENING TODAY AHEAD OF THE NEXT STORM SYSTEM…

Clouds are once again the theme today as they have been
thickening since early this morning. Any brief sun early
this morning is but a distant memory now. A little light
snow started just before the 1pm observation as an
initial band associated with the incoming storm system
moves through southern New England.

Despite the cloud cover, the temperature is gradually
rising through the low to mid 30s early this afternoon,
destined for the low 50s overnight tonight.

The wind has been quite light today, gradually veering from
the west this morning to south early this afternoon. The
average speed for the day is only around 8mph.

The high so far today is 35F, which is 1 degrees above the
normal maximum of 34F. The low since midnight is 27F, which
is 10 degrees above the normal minimum of 17F.
