BREEZY AND COLD ONCE AGAIN TODAY UNDER MAINLY SUNNY SKIES….

It’s a beautiful sunny day again today, but it’s even colder than
yesterday with gusty northwest winds. Wind chills are once again
generally in the teens today. What we call ineffective sunshine!

Temperatures, as mentioned, are on the cold side today with readings
only reaching the upper 20s by early this afternoon. This continues
to run below the normal value for this time of year. The dew point
has been holding in the low teens all day, indicative of the arctic
air mass over the region.

Winds are gusty again today, with the average speed for the day so
far of around 15mph. Gusts have once again been getting over 30mph
at times. The peak gust for the day so far is 37mph, which occurred
at 9:59am and 10:56am this morning.

Visibility has been decent today, with the view rising from 50 miles
early this morning to around 70 miles by late morning and into early
this afternoon.

The maximum temperature for today is 29F degrees, which is 5 degrees
below the normal high of 34F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 16F degrees, which is 2 degrees below the normal low of 18F.
