BLUSTERY ONCE AGAIN AS THE ARCTIC AIR MASS HANGS ON ANOTHER DAY WITH
CONTINUED BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES….

The arctic blast continues with well below normal temperatures and
blustery winds continuing today. Skies are at least mainly on the
clear side, as such we are receiving plenty of bright sunshine.
However, temperatures remain well below seasonal levels making the
sun rather ineffective in terms of how it feels out there.

Much like yesterday, readings have only recovered to the mid-upper
20s by early this afternoon after bottoming out in the low teens
early this morning. The dew point remains down in the single digits.

Winds continue to be on the blustery side, but thankfully not as
strong as the past couple of days. Gusts were frequently reaching
around 30mph during the morning, but the trend since noontime has
been for decreasing wind overall. The average speed for the day so
far is around 15mph, mainly out of the west-northwest and northwest.
The peak gust so far is 33mph, which occurred at 9:09am.

Visibility has been quite decent today, holding at around 70 miles
all day.

The maximum temperature for today is 27F degrees, which is 11 degrees
below the normal high of 38F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 12F degrees, which is 8 degrees below the normal low of 20F.
