MAINLY CLOUDY SKIES WITH SOME WILDFIRE SMOKE ALOFT TODAY….

While there is some wildfire smoke aloft still, near the surface
the air is considerably clearer than it was the last couple of
days. Cirrus clouds continue to pass across the sky as well so
it’s been a mainly cloudy day with only dim sunshine filtering
through.

Temperatures are still below normal today with readings reaching
the mid to upper 70s early this afternoon. Dew point values had
been generally hanging out in the mid to upper 50s, but has
pushed to 60F as of the 1pm observation. Either way, it is still
comfortable for this time of year.

The wind has been onshore again today, but has been lighter
than yesterday. The average speed for the day so far is around
7mph. The peak gust so far for the day is 17mph, which occurred
just before noon time.

Visibility is much better today than it has been, but is still
somewhat limited due to haziness. The view has been generally
30-35 miles all day.

The maximum temperature so far today is 77F degrees, which is
5 degrees below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 61F degrees, which is 3 degrees below the
normal low of 64F.
