A SLIGHT RELIEF IN COMPARISON TO YESTERDAY….
Today featured relatively pleasant weather with dew points
dropping into the low 60’s and a cool westerly breeze. Wind
is 15 mph on average with frequent gusts above 20 mph.
Skies are mostly cloudy and visibility increased from 40 miles
this morning to 70 miles by the 1 P.M. observation. We saw
some fog to the east this morning, the remnants of the overnight
rainfall that left 0.39 inches in the gauge.
The summit continues with a monthly rainfall deficit, now at
1.41″ below normal, and an annual deficit of 10.92″! Most of the
Boston area remains under extreme drought conditions as of now.
The Drought monitor is updated tomorrow.
The high so far today is 88F, which is 10 degrees above the normal
maximum of 78F. The low since midnight is 68F, which is 8 degrees
above the normal minimum of 60F.
