NICE AND COOL WITH EXCELLENT VISIBILITY
FOLLOWING THE WARM STINT….
We observed an excellent visibility of 85 miles this
morning, decreasing to 80 miles as the day went on.
Overnight rainfall totaled a 10th of an inch, due to
a passing shower late yesterday afternoon. Skies were
mostly cloudy early, yet almost clear at the 1 P.M.
observation. Wind has been westerly, with a max gust
of 29 mph. The average wind speed is around 15 mph from
the northwest.
Conditions were cooler and more fall like today, with
dew points in the low 40’s and a max temperature of
71F so far today. This is 7 degrees below the daily
normal maximum of 78F, and is actually normal for
the middle of September!!!
