SUNSHINE FADES BEHIND CONVECTIVE CLOUDS; STILL BREEZY AND COOL…
Much like yesterday, the day started with a decent amount of
sunshine following a very photogenic sunrise. However, as heating
from the sun increased mid to late morning, clouds increased in
number and coverage. Skies have been overcast since the late
morning hours.
The temperature has been chilly today, with a low dew point and
gusty winds, it feels rather chilly today. Temperatures started
the day in the upper 30s, and have only so far reached a peak in
the upper 40s. Readings have settled back a bit into the mid 40s
since the sky went to overcast. Will we even make it to 50F
today? Stay tuned!
The wind has been busy again today with frequent gusts of
25-30mph. The highest gust so far today is around 35mph. The
average speed for the day so far is around 13mph.
Visibility has been excellent most of the day, rising from around
60 miles early this morning to around 80 miles for the balance of
the day.
The high temperature so far today is 49F degrees, which is 9
degrees below the normal high of 58F. The low since midnight
is 39F degrees, which is equal to the normal low of 39F.
