BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 2024
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0459E
SUNSET: 1829E
COOLER TEMPERATURES, BUT VERY NICE WEATHER CONTINUES TODAY ON
BLUE HILL….
Clouds, mainly of the high thin variety, have been increasing
as the day progresses. However we’ve still observed plenty of
sunshine to this point, which is making for yet another very
fine day here.
Temperatures are cooler than they have been the last couple of
days, but it’s still mild enough outdoors to be able to enjoy
activities comfortably. Readings today have been held in the
mid to upper 50s thanks to an onshore flow off the ocean. The
dew point still remains on the low side with readings in the
low to mid 30s.
The wind has been fairly steady out of the east-northeast to
east today, averaging at around 8mph for much of the day. The
peak gust so far is around 23mph, which occurred back around 1am.
Visibility has been excellent all day thanks to the dry air mass.
The view has been holding around 70 miles today.
The maximum temperature so far today is 58F degrees, which is 1
degree above the normal high of 57F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 40F degrees, which is 1 degree above the normal low
of 39F.
