DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2019
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
COOLER AND MUCH LESS HUMID TODAY…
After yesterday’s hot and humid weather, a cold front moved
through overnight bringing with it showers and thunderstorms to
the area. Only 0.04″ of rain fell at the Observatory just after
midnight.
Today has transitioned into a top notch day. A mix of sun and
clouds has been the theme with lowering dew points. A westerly
breeze has only added to the cooler feel of the day.
The high so far today has been 75F, which is still 6 degrees
above the normal high of 69F. The low since midnight was 62F,
which is 10 degrees above our normal low of 52F.
