SOME BREAKS OF SUN DEVELOPING AFTER A PERIOD OF RAIN THIS MORNING….

A period of rain this morning brought a nice soaking to the hill
with 0.26″ being measured between 7am and 1pm. This brings the
monthly total to 2.78″ and potentially more to come this evening
as a cold front approaches the region.

The rain ended before noon. Clouds have been attempting to break
a bit since with a few brief splashes of sunshine being noted.

Temperatures are starting to respond to the solar insolation with
readings into the low 70s by the 1pm observation.

The dew point remains on the high side with readings around 70F,
as such, it feels quite humid out there today.

The wind has been light again today, however it has shown signs
of increasing a bit this afternoon. The average speed has only
been around 6mph so far today, but a gust of 18mph has been
measured just before the 1pm observation.

Visibility has been gradually improving now that the fog has
burned off. It was as low as 1/16th of a mile this morning, but
has improved to around 30 miles this afternoon.

The high so far today is 72F, which is 2 degrees below the
normal maximum of 74F. The low since midnight is 66F, which is
9 degrees above the normal minimum of 57F.
