BACKDOOR COLD FRONT STALLS OVER REGION,
FOG STILL IN PLACE AT 1:00PM EST OBSERVATION
Early morning showers amounted to 0.54 in. of precip. at the 7:00AM
ob and brought our monthly departure to 1.32 in. above normal and
yearly departure to 10.44 in. below normal. A backdoor cold front
stalled over the region and has left BHO in the fog all day.
Visibility improved to just 3 miles by the 1:00PM ob.
Today’s temperatures have been much lower than the 80F forecasted for
the Boston area. Temperatures continued to decrease after 7:00AM to
a minimum of 56F and had increased to 62F by 1:00PM. Despite being so
far from the original forecast, temperatures have still been approximately
8F above normal.
