MORNING CLOUDS MOVE OUT LEAVING PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AND WELL ABOVE
NORMAL TEMPERATURES….

We have finally entered the warm air mass as temperatures rose
overnight from the mid 40s at midnight to the low 50s by the 7am
observation. Lingering clouds early this morning moved out leaving
us with plenty of sunshine through the balance of the day thus far.

Temperatures quickly responded to the sun and quickly rose through
the 60s reaching 70F by noon-time. We have reached 73F degrees as
of this writing, which is getting close to the record high for the
date of 76F set in 1994. The dew point which was holding in the
low to mid 50s all morning, has risen into the upper 50s this
afternoon. Needless to say, compared to the past few days, it feels
more humid out there today.

Winds are busy today, averaging around 15mph for the day so far. It
has veered from the south to the west-southwest through the course
of the morning. Gusts have been frequently exceeding 20mph, with a
peak so far of 35mph, which occurred around 8:35am.

Visibility has been somewhat limited due to thin fog early this
morning, and general haziness thereafter. The view has been generally
around 30-40 miles today.

The maximum temperature so far today is 73F, which is 19 degrees
above the normal high of 54F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 46F, which is 9 degrees above the normal low of 37F.
