DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2015
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
ANOTHER DRY DAY, AS TEMPS RISE NEAR RECORD TERRITORY
Overnight, clear skies and light winds allowed the formation
of a thermal inversion, with temperatures dropping to 30F just
3.5 miles away and 600 feet lower at Norwood Memorial Airpot
(KOWD). Meanwhile, temperatures dipped to a minimum of 44F with
ASOS registering a quick 50F peak temperature at the 7:00 AM EST
observation, while it was 34F at KOWD during the same period.
Temperatures have risen steadily through the morning with
a forecast high near 70F. Today’s daily record maximum temperature
is 75F, set back in 1990.
By the 1:00 PM EST observation skies were nearly completely clear
with only a few cirrus along the horizon to the NNE-NE. Temperatures
were well above our daily normal high of 55F, with a maximum
temperatures of 69F recorded at the observation.
