DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2015
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
TEMPS DIP INTO THE UPPER 20S OVERNIGHT,
DRY CONDITIONS CONTINUE WITH 1.71 INCH DEFICIT FOR THE MONTH
The coldest temperatures of the month so far came in overnight,
as our minimum thermometer dipped to a low of 28F just before
the 7:00 AM EST observation. Temperatures did not fall fast
enough yesterday to avoid another day of above normal conditions,
with a maximum temperature on Monday of 59F, 9 degrees above the
daily norm.
Another day without precipitation has increased our monthly
and annual deficit to 1.71 inches and 8.65 inches respectively.
By the 1:00 PM EST observation skies remained nearly the
same as they were all morning with just a few stratocumulus
distant to the NE-S. Over land, skies were completely clear
with excellent visibility- 80 miles in all directions. Temperatures
had not been able to crest the 50F degree mark like yesterday,
and had reached just 44F by observation time.
