MUCH NEEDED RAINFALL OVERNIGHT, MAINLY CLOUDY AND COOL TODAY….
Overnight rain amounted to 0.44″ of much needed water here
on the Hill. Despite the drink of water, we still have a
deficit for the year to date of 2.31″.
Drizzle came to an end this morning, with skies remaining
overcast into early afternoon. However breaks have developed
as some drier air works inland from the ocean. With the
easterly wind, temperatures have remained on the cool side
with readings slowly rising into the low to mid 50s early
this afternoon, which is around 8-10 degrees below the normal
high for today’s date!
As mentioned, the wind has been easterly, coming in off the
chilly ocean. Speeds have been mainly light with the average
for the day around 10mph so far.
Visibility was limited early this morning to 1/4 mile or less
due to dense fog, but has improved this afternoon to around
40 miles.
The high so far today is 55F, which is 8 degrees below the
normal maximum of 63F. The low since midnight is 43F, which
is 1 degree below the normal minimum of 44F.
