MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2015
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
ABOVE NORMAL WARMTH AND MODERATE DROUGHT CONTINUES
Hazy skies with significant cloud cover were visible
at this morning’s 7:00 AM EST observation. Haze limited
visibility to just 25 miles in all directions with scattered
altocumulus and broken thin cirrus above.
Another day without rain has increased the deficit this
month with moderate drought occurring throughout most
of southern New England. Here at BHO, precipitation is
now 2.58 inches below normal for the month of May, and
3.08 inches below normal for the year. Spotty but strong
thunderstorms may temporarily alleviate some drought
conditions in some areas of the region this week.
By today’s 1:00 PM EST observation skies were still mostly
cloudy with clouds at low, medium and high levels. Hazy
conditions had continued as well, keep visibility at 25 miles
in all directions. A maximum temperature of 82F had been
recorded by this time as well.
