HIGH PRESSURE LEADS TO ABUNDANT SUNSHINE AND WARM TEMPS
Temperatures reached 77F by 1:00PM EST today, making
today the warmest day since the month started and the
first day to rise above 60F since May 7. The below
normal temperatures from the first half the month have
dropped the cumulative temperature departure for May
to 68 deg F, or 4.7 deg F per day, below normal.
Atmospheric pressured continued to rise through the early
afternoon. Mostly sunny skies and 70-mile visibility
accompanied the warm temperatures. Winds were slightly
gusty and out of the northwest and west.
