FOLLOWING TEMPERATURE FREE FALL MONDAY, TEMPS
REBOUND BY MID DAY, MONTHLY TEMPS 7.8 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL
Yesterday’s maximum temperature of 84F quickly fell into
the 50s by mid day, and eventual bottomed out at 47F
early this morning. Quick showers and drizzle brought at
least one brief downpour, totaling 0.14 inches of new rain,
bringing May’s monthly total to now just 0.17 inches. Red
flag warning and fire weather advisories are in place today
with dry conditions this week.
By the 1:00 PM EST observation temperatures have climbed
to 83F with hazy conditions limiting visibility to 20 miles
in all directions. Moderate to towering cumulus were visible
at this time, with further development continuing after the
observation.
