STEADY RAIN, THICK FOG AND EASTERLY WINDS
PRODUCE RAW CONDITIONS ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL

Temperatures fell through yesterday afternoon, eventually
dropping to a 24-hr minimum of 36F along with a period of
steady light ice pellets. Ice pellets only accumulated to a
trace due to warmer than freezing surface temperatures.

A transition to steadier rain overnight lasted through this
morning totaling 1.05 inches from 7:00 AM EST yesterday morning
through 7:00 AM EST today. An additional 0.13 inches of rain
fell by the 10:00 AM EST observation. Through 7:00 AM EST
this morning rain for the month of March is 0.61 inches
below normal and 0.34 above normal for the year. Snowfall
is now 6.4 inches below normal for them month and 15.8
inches below normal for the year.

By this afternoon’s 1:00 PM EST observation light rain was
continuing to fall with thick fog reducing visibility to 1/8
of a mile. Temperatures had reached a daytime maximum of 45F.
