CANADIAN WILDFIRE SMOKE REDUCING VISIBILITY AND IMPACTING AIR
QUALITY ACROSS THE REGION….

Some clouds early this morning, partially hidden by the abundant
smoke, dissipated leaving us with clear, but very smoky skies.
As a matter of fact, the smoke is thick enough that the
visibility has been reduced to under 10 miles. Also the sun
has been greatly filtered, only dimly visible, as if there is
a layer of cirrostratus above.

Despite the filtered nature of the sunshine, temperatures have
been able to warm into the low to mid 70s this afternoon. All
in all, it feels pretty nice out there today.

The wind has been generally out of a northwest to west-
northwesterly direction today with an average speed for the day
around 9mph. The peak gust so far has only been around 20mph.

The high temperature so far today is xxF, this is x degrees
below the normal maximum of 72F. The low since midnight is 50F,
this is 5 degrees below the normal minimum of 55F.
