INCREASING HIGH CLOUDS, BUT STILL WARM AND DRY WITH LIGHT WIND….

Sunshine has been the theme today despite an increase in high
thin cirrus clouds as we pushed into the afternoon hours. A
few cumulus have also developed as well.

Temperatures have warmed into the low to mid 70s with a nice
light breeze off the ocean. The dew point is creeping up however,
on the threshold of the “humid” category as it has reached the 60
degree mark early this afternoon.

The wind has been light most of the day, and even went calm for
a time this morning, but has finally shown some signs of increasing
a bit as we approach mid afternoon. The direction was fairly
variable this morning, but has finally settled into a east-
northeast sea-breeze this afternoon. The average speed for the day
so far is around 6mph. The peak gust to this point is around 17mph,
which occurred just before 2am this morning.

Visibility has been limited all day due to pine pollen. The day
started with a view of around 40 miles, but it has decreased
this afternoon to only around 30 miles as the pollen continues
to be released by the trees.

The maximum temperature so far today is 75F degrees, which is
3 degrees above the normal high of 72F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 55F degrees, which is 1 degree above the
normal low of 54F.
