HEAVY MORNING RAIN, HUMIDITY DECREASES
FIRST RIPE BLUEBERRY OF THE YEAR

Light rain last evening and heavy rain early this morning
totaled 0.30 inches at 7:00AM EST.  With the passing of
the cold front, dew points began to fall, and visibility
began to improve.  Dew points fell from the upper 60s to
the much more comfortable low 60s by 1:00PM.  Visibility
reached 70 miles in most directions by early afternoon.

The first ripe blueberry of the season was observed today.
It occurs very close to the long-term average date of
June 21 and 13 days later than last year’s first ripe
blueberry.
