COOL, RAW, WET WEATHER CONTINUES
STORM TOTAL SO FAR 2.30 INCHES
NEW RECORD LOW MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR JUNE 1

The cool, rainy weather of yesterday has continued into today.  A new record
low maximum temperature of 48F was set for June 1.  Today has again been in
the 40s, with a high of only 47F so far, but today’s record low maximum is
46F, so that record will stand.  Rainfall has continued today as well, and
our storm total through 1PM this afternoon stands at 2.30 inches of rain.
Winds have continued to blow from the NE today, and have not been as strong
as yesterday when several gusts over 30mph were recorded.  Visibility has
improved slightly during the day, from just a mile or two early this morning
to around 10 miles this afternoon.

Contrary to the cool, dreary weather of the past two days, May 2015 was the
warmest May on record here at Blue Hill, edging out May 1991.  Additional
end of month statistics will be provided here in the days ahead.
