DENSE FOG THIS MORNING GAVE WAY TO PARTIAL SUNSHINE THIS AFTERNOON,
WARM AND RATHER HUMID CONDITIONS AS WELL….
Rainfall overnight amounted to 0.18″ in the gauge, but it moved
out of the area by sunrise this morning. Overcast skies and dense
fog were left in its wake through most of the morning hours. The
fog lifted and clouds broke by the time we reached the noon hour.
Temperatures rapidly responded to the sun with readings reaching
the upper 70s by the 1pm observation. Humidity levels are on the
sticky side as well with the dew point reaching the mid to
upper 60s.
The wind has been rather light today, mainly out of a southerly
direction. The average speed for the day has been around 8mph.
The peak gust so far for the day is around 26mph, occurring
during the wee hours of the morning.
Visibility was quite low this morning, down to as low as 1/16th
of a mile, but has recovered markedly early this afternoon to
around 40 miles.
The high temperature so far today is 78F, this is 3 degrees above
the normal maximum of 75F. The low since midnight is 63F, this is
6 degrees above the normal minimum of 57F.
