DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2017
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS CONTINUE

Temperatures continued to rise yesterday afternoon reaching
94F which broke the previous record of 92F set in 1973.
Yesterday’s minimum temperature of 69F tied for the high
minimum record first set in 1942. Hot temperatures continued
today measuring 92F, one degree short of today’s record of
93F set back in 1988. A cold front moving into the region
from the northwest this afternoon is expected to bring cooler
temperatures, scattered rain showers, and possible thunderstorms.

Haze limited visibility to 20 miles all day due to the poor air
quality and high dew points. Dew points remained in the upper
60s all morning and early afternoon.
