ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)

MAINLY CLOUDY TODAY WITH SHOWERS DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON….
Today is a big difference from yesterday. Not much in the way
of sunshine has been observed today as clouds moved in very
early this morning and have stuck around through the day. An
area of showers has moved into the region with light rain
showers ongoing during the 1pm observation. 0.02″ of rain has
been measured so far.
Of course with cloudy skies, the temperature isn’t able to get
as warm as the past few days. The high so far today has only
been 73F, with readings dropping back into the upper 60s with
the onset of the rain. The dew point on the other hand has been
increasing all day, starting out in the low 50s early this
morning, rising to the mid 60s early this afternoon. So it
definitely feels muggier this afternoon.
The wind has been light all day, only averaging around 9mph
for the day. The peak gust so far for the day occurred around
5am with only 19mph measured.
Visibility has been limited today, especially when compared to
the past few days. We could see up to 45 miles early this
morning, but its down to only 20 miles early this afternoon
thanks to a combination of thin fog from the rain and general
haziness.
The high so far today is 73F, which is 8 degrees below the
normal maximum of 81F. The low since midnight is 63F, which
is equal to the normal minimum of 63F.
