WARM AND HUMID WITH BUILDING CONVECTIVE CLOUDS THIS AFTERNOON…

Early morning clouds and fog burned off rather quickly with a
period of sunshine taking it’s place. However, the clear sky
was short-lived as cumulus clouds quickly started to develop.
These cumulus have now built into towering cumulus and cumulo-
nimbus this afternoon with thunderstorms firing off to the
west and northwest of the hill at this time.

Temperatures have warmed into the mid 80s early this afternoon,
and with the dew point around 70F, there is plenty of fuel for
any thunderstorms that do develop. Not to mention, it feels
quite sticky out there as well.

The wind has been mainly on the light side today. The average
speed for the day so far is only around 9mph. A peak gust of
around 20mph occurred way back around midnight.

Visibility has been limited thanks to hazy conditions due to
the higher moisture content in the air. The view has been
holding between 20-30 miles, once the fog burned off early
this morning.

The maximum temperature so far today is 85F, this is 3 degrees
above the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature today is
67F, which is 3 degrees above the normal low of 64F.
