INCREASING AND THICKENING CLOUDS THIS MORNING, LIGHT SNOW
DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON….
A brief moment of some partial sunshine was observed early
this morning, but clouds were quick to move in thereafter.
The clouds have been thickening and lowering all day with
a bit of light snow developing just after 2pm this afternoon.
Temperatures have risen into the upper 30s late this morning
and early this afternoon, but are now on the decline with
the light precipitation falling. The dew point has been rising
steadily all day, from the mid teens early today to the mid
20s by early this afternoon.
The wind has been generally on the light side, and gradually
veering from the west-southwest early this morning to the
north-northwest by early-mid afternoon. The average speed for
the day so far is around 10mph, but the trend has been
gradually decreasing as the day progresses. The peak gust for
the day to this point has been around 30mph, occurring at
around 12:40am this morning.
Visibility was somewhat limited this morning to around 35 miles
due to haziness, but improved to around 50 miles early this
afternoon before the snow moved in.
The maximum temperature so far today is 38F degrees, this is
4 degrees above the normal high of 34F. The minimum temperature
so far since midnight is 31F degrees, this is 14 degrees above
the normal low of 17F.
