MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)

PERIODS OF MAINLY LIGHT SNOW CONTINUE ON THE HILL THIS AFTERNOON…

Snow began flying just after midnight last night and has continued
at varying intensities since. 1.9″ of snow was measured up to 7am
this morning, melting down to 0.15″ of liquid. This means the snow
was a bit fluffy overnight, thanks in large part to temperatures
being in the 20s. As the morning has progressed however, the
temperature has risen into the lower 30s. As such, the snow has
become much wetter in nature.

Another 1.2″ of snow has fallen between 7am and 1pm, bringing the
storm total thus far to 3.1″. Total liquid so far is 0.27″. We
shall see how much, if any, additional snow accumulation we get
through the remainder of this afternoon and into this evening.

The wind became gusty for a time this morning as an easterly low-
level jet pushed over the area. Gusts of around 30mph was observed.
However, the wind has relaxed a bit early this afternoon with speeds
generally 10-15mph, occasionally gusting to 20-25mph.

Visibility has of course been limited all day in snow and fog,
staying below 4 miles.

The high so far today is 33F, which is 7 degrees below the normal
maximum of 40F. The low since midnight is 25F degrees, which is
3 degrees above the normal minimum of 22F.
