CLOUDS ON THE INCREASE FOLLOWING A BREEZY AND COLD
EVENING.

Temperatures slid yesterday as an Arctic air mass entered
New England, forcing the mercury downward from a maximum of
40F just after midnight. Winds overnight strengthened from
the WNW gusting to a peak of 48 MPH.

By 7:00 AM this morning a minimum temperature of 16.4F was
recorded with winds beginning to ease off from the W and
only a few cirrus fibratus and cirrostratus lenticularis.

By 1:00 PM a maximum of 25.7F had been recorded with
stratocumulus overspreading more than half of the sky.

few stratocumulus distant WSW, few cirrus fibratus and
cirrostratus lenticularis overhead.
