WINTRY MIX OVERNIGHT; CLOUDS AND FOG THIS MORNING
GIVING WAY TO MAINLY SUNNY SKIES EARLY THIS AFTERNOON….

Light snow moved into the area between 11pm and midnight last
night, then mixed with sleet between 1am-2am before tapering to
light freezing drizzle thereafter. 0.1″ of snow/sleet did
accumulate before the change to freezing drizzle. Then a thin
glaze was left on most surfaces until the temperature edged
above freezing between 7am-8am this morning.

Drizzle tapered off just before 10am, but clouds and dense
fog lingered until around noon-time when the fog finally lifted
leaving us with a decent amount of sunshine.

Temperatures have quickly responded to the sunshine as readings
have cruised into the low 40s by the 1pm observation.

The wind was light through most of the morning, but has since
increased a bit as mixing is now taking place with surface
heating. Recent gusts of 25-30mph have been measured.

Visibility was very limited this morning, getting as low as 1/16th
of a mile, but has now recovered to around 50 miles early this
afternoon.

The high so far today is 42F, which is 5 degrees above the normal
max of 37F. The low since midnight is 30F, which is 8 degrees above
the normal low of 22F.
