MUCH NEEDED SOAKING RAIN FALLS OVERNIGHT,
BRINGS 0.62 INCHES OF NEW PRECIP, GUSTY WINDS

Rain, drizzle and fog came to an end this morning after coming
down heavy at times. A maximum temperature of 61F was reached
around 5:00 AM EST before a frontal passage pushed temperatures
down more than 10 degrees in a 30 minute span.

Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 60F reached at midnight
this morning. Yesterday’s temperature departure of +20 has
now pushed December’s temperatures 10.7 degrees F above normal.

By today’s 1:00 PM EST observation skies were partly cloudy
with gusty winds. Visibility was excellent at 80 miles, with
the exception of 60 miles from W-NW with showers distant.

Winds had gusted to a peak of 48 MPH from the W at 12:30 PM EST
so far.
