GRADUAL CLEARING AS LOW PRESSURE PASSES
AND HIGH PRESSURE MOVES IN

Yesterday’s anticipated heavy rain was not able to pass into
southern New England due to convection over the mid-Atlantic.
Instead, we received light rain showers and light drizzle which
totaled 0.03 in. at 7:00AM EST. Light drizzle continued for a
brief period of time between 7:00AM and 10:00AM leaving a trace.

Foggy and overcast conditions began to clear before the morning
observation.  Skies eventually became broken with multiple cloud
layers.  Visibility had improved to 50 miles by early afternoon.
Temperatures remained low with a max. of 71F by 1:00PM.  Humid
conditions remained in place in spite of the clearing as dew points
measured in the low 60s all day.
