CLEAR SKIES THIS MORNING DECORATED WITH FAIR WEATHER CUMULUS
THIS AFTERNOON; A BIT COOLER AND MUCH LESS HUMID….

What a glorious day for late August with plenty of sunshine
this morning being occasionally interrupted early this afternoon
by decorative cumulus clouds dotting the sky. In addition to
the much more pleasant temperature and humidity levels,
we are also being treated to excellent visibility as well.

Temperatures dropped into the upper 50s early this morning, but
have recovered to the mid 70s by early this afternoon. With
dew point values in the low to mid 50s today, the air feels
quite refreshing after a rather muggy day and evening yesterday.

It’s been on the breezy side today as well which is adding to
the refreshing feel to the air. A mostly west-northwest wind
has been averaging at around 12mph for the day so far. Gusts
have been exceeding 20mph rather frequently, with a peak gust
so far of 28mph occurring just after 12:30pm.

As mentioned, the visibility is excellent today with a view of
80 miles all day!

The maximum temperature so far today is 76F degrees, which is
3 degrees below the normal high of 79F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 59F degrees, which is 2 degrees below the
normal low of 61F.
