12 DAY STREAK BELOW THE 80F MARK

The mercury finally breached the 80F mark yesterday for the first
time since August 12th, ending a remarkably cool stretch of weather
for August. Light winds, almost entirely clear skies and a southerly
flow have added more heat and humidity to the air today, while
tomorrow’s forecasted maximum may reach the 90F mark.

By the 1:00 PM EST observation a maximum of 89F had been recorded
today.

Our dry streak continues as well, with our monthly deficit increasing
to -1.91 inches of precipitation below the norm, and -3.27 inches
below the norm for the year.
