MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
ANOTHER WARM DAY WITH LOWERING HUMIDITY THIS AFTERNOON…
Today has been rather uneventful thus far with a lot of
mid and high level clouds this morning clearing out to
mainly sunny skies by early this afternoon.
A thunderstorm did develop to the distant south-southeast
of the Observatory early this afternoon, however no thunder
was observed here.
The wind has been gradually veering from the southwest to
the west. It has also been increasing with gusts now
around 30 mph. The westerly winds are also helping to
dry out the air mass as the dew point has dropped from the
upper 60s to the low 60s.
The high so far today is 85F, 7 degrees above the
daily normal maximum of 78F. The low since midnight
is 70F, which is 9 degrees above the normal minimum
of 61F.
