CLOUDY AND HUMID TODAY FOLLOWING SOME RAIN AND DRIZZLE OVERNIGHT….

Additional rainfall fell last evening with drizzle taking over
through the night into early this morning. This brought the 24
hour total ending at 7am this morning to 0.83″! While still only
a dent in the drought bucket, it was greatly welcomed nonetheless.

Clouds have been the theme today with the temperature ever
so slowly reaching the low 70s. The dew point remains high
with readings in the upper 60s to around 70, thus keeping a
humid feel in the air despite the cooler temperatures.

Thunderstorms are passing off to the south of the hill this
afternoon. Frequent rumbles of thunder can be heard, but so
far only a few sprinkles have been observed. We have not been
able to see any lightning thus far either.

The wind has been quite light again today with an average speed
only around 3mph so far. A peak gust of only 12mph has been
measured so far. Talk about dead air!

The high so far today is 73F, which is 6 degrees below the normal
maximum of 79F. The low since midnight is 66F, which is 4 degrees
above the normal minimum of 62F.
