WARMEST DAY SINCE JULY 24 AND ONLY SECOND ABOVE AVERAGE DAY THIS MONTH

Temperatures are finally warming up! The high temperature has reached 84F
through 2 PM EDT, making today the warmest since 84F on July 24. More
warm weather appears to be in the forecast over the next couple of days.

From July 25 – August 19 (26 days), only 2 days had above normal
temperatures, and the average daily temperature during this time period
was 2.7F below normal.

Winds continue to be on the light side, as they have been over the past
several days. The wind direction has slowly shifted from a NW direction
early this morning to a SW direction this afternoon.
