MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2014
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

ANOTHER COOL MORNING, 54F MINIMUM AT GREAT BLUE HILL,
43F RECORDED AT NORWOOD MEMORIAL AIRPORT

More cool air brought down from Canada arrived yesterday
and overnight, with yesterday’s predominant wind direction
of NW. Today’s daily record minimum of 48F, set in 1958, was
never in threat this morning with an overnight low of 54F
recorded just after 5:00 AM EST. A minimum of 43F, recorded
very nearby at Norwood Memorial Airport would have surely
done the trick however, with very cool air settling into
the valleys.

Clear skies and good visibility have prevailed once again
this morning, with small cumulus creeping in from the
distance, and visibilities of 70 miles in all direction.
