BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2015
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
SHOWERS OVERNIGHT BRING 0.25 INCHES OF NEW RAIN,
COOL SPRING CONDITIONS CONTINUE
Light and intermittent rain showers yesterday became
heavier overnight, as 0.25 inches of precipitation was measured
by this morning’s 7:00 AM EST observation.
Cloudy conditions have slowly given way to partly to mostly
cloudy skies, as winds from the north have worked to
suppress temperatures. By the 1:00 PM EST observation, a maximum
temperature of 58F had been recorded.
Cool conditions mean another day without this year’s first
70 degree day. A significant warm up still does not seem
likely this week, possibly inching 2015 closer to the top
10 latest 70 degree readings.
