SPRING SHOWERS ARRIVE AT GREAT BLUE HILL BRINGING
GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS
Light rain began this morning around 4:00AM EST and
stopped before the 10:00AM observation. Heavier rain
began again near noon and is expected to continue into
the evening. Precipitation totaled 0.15 inches for
the day so far at 1:00PM, with 0.01 inches measured
at 7:00AM.
Fog limited visibility to 2 1/2 miles this morning and
cleared to 20 miles by late morning. Fog returned with
rain in the afternoon and brought visibility down to 1
mile.
Winds have been out of the northeast all day. Gusts
over 20 MPH began at 7:00AM and reached up to 35 MPH
this afternoon. The gusty winds and temperatures in the
low 40s make for a wind chill of 36F.
