CHILLY TEMPERATURES AND GUSTY NE WINDS CONTINUE
Temperatures remained cool today with a max. of 55F by 1:0PM EST, 8F below the
normal of 67F. Low, overcast clouds prevented temperatures from rising much
higher than the overnight low of 52F. Strong NE winds persisted through today.
The peak gust so far is 29 kts (33 MPH) NE at 12:59am EST.
The updated US Drought Monitor shows no changes to the extreme drought in our
region. This week’s rain did little help to improve our conditions. Blue Hill
remains 1.71 in. of precip. below normal for September.
