A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS, BUT SEASONABLY COOL TODAY AT BLUE HILL…

Today has featured varying amounts of cloud cover, including
low hanging clouds (fog) this morning off to the south through
north-northwest. These clouds were so low that the tops of them
were below the elevation of Blue Hill, thus it was considered a
broken undercast. Otherwise, a combination of low stratocumulus
and high thin cirrus clouds have been the theme. Also a thin
smoke layer aloft from western wildfires has been moving
across our sky.

Temperatures are slightly below normal with readings reaching
the mid 60s early this afternoon, after bottoming out around
50 this morning. The dew point has been gradually increasing
however, with values rising from the upper 40s early this
morning to the mid 50s early this afternoon.

The wind has been steady, but not a big deal today. The average
speed for the day so far is only around 8mph out of the
northeast and east-northeast. The peak gust thus far has only
been around 18mph.

Visibility has improved from around 10-15 miles early this
morning to around 30 miles this afternoon.

The maximum temperature so far today has been 65F, which is
3 degrees below the normal high of 68F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 50F, which is 1 degree below the normal low
of 51F.
