ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)

MORE RAIN OVERNIGHT, MUCH IMPROVED TODAY WITH SUNSHINE RETURNING….

Periods of rain moved through the region overnight bringing
an additional 0.70″ of rain to the hill. This made a 2 day
storm total of 1.76″. Despite the recent increase in rain
events, we still have a pretty significant annual deficit,
which as of this morning is sitting at 9.72″ below normal. We
are still considered to be in severe drought according to the
most recent Drought Monitor report issued this morning.

Clouds moved out this morning leaving us with plenty of
glorious sunshine for the balance of the day. Temperatures
have responded nicely with readings getting into the low 70s
this afternoon. After a few days of below normal temps, it
almost feels like summer today (almost)!

The wind is much much lighter today, as a matter of fact it’s
been averaging under 10mph most of the day!

Visibility is much improved today as would be expected with
views reaching 60 miles by early this afternoon.

The high so far today is 70F, which is 5 degrees above the
normal maximum of 65F. The low since midnight is 56F, which is
8 degrees above the normal minimum of 48F.
