A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS; WARM WITH A LIGHT VARIABLE WIND….
It’s a rather nice day out there today with sunshine mixing with
various cloud types. All 3 levels (low, middle, and high) are
being represented today with cumulus, altocumulus, and cirrus
creating a very nice contrast against a deep blue sky above them.
Temperatures have once again reached the low to mid 70s early this
afternoon. This combined with dew points in the mid 50s and a
light wind, it’s making for a very comfortable afternoon to be out-
doors. However the flow, albeit light, has become onshore just
before the 1pm observation, so the temperature may slip back
some from this point.
As mentioned, winds are quite light, and were variable up until
just after 12:30pm, when it shifted to east and east-northeast. The
average speed so far today is only around 7mph. The peak gust for
the day so far occurred back just after midnight with a value of
16mph.
Visibility has been quite decent today at around 70 miles all day
despite an increase in pollen, seen as haziness.
The maximum temperature for today is 74F degrees, which is 9 degrees
above the normal high of 65F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 54F degrees, which is 8 degrees above the normal low of 46F.
