HEAVY RAIN OVERNIGHT, LIGHTER RAIN AND DRIZZLE LINGERING THROUGH
THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS…

We got a dose of heavy rain overnight that left 1.33″ of water in
the gauge as of 7am this morning. Light rain and drizzle has
continued into early this afternoon with an additional 0.17″ falling
by 1pm. So the storm total thus far is a solid 1.50″! This is the
second event this month so far (only 7 days) in which we’ve seen
over 1 inch of rain (1.40″ and 1.50″ respectively). Contrast this to
only receiving 1.32″ for the entire month of February!

Temperatures are on the cool side with a gusty northeast wind to go
along with the wet weather. Readings have been held in the low 40s
thus far. It’s quite raw and bone chilling out there today, the
perfect kind of day for soup or chili!

As mentioned, the wind has been on the gusty side today. The average
speed so far for the day has been around 17mph. The peak gust for
the day so far is 40mph, occurring just before 1am this morning.

The maximum temperature so far today is 42F degrees, which is
1 degree above the normal high of 41F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 38F degrees, which is 14 degrees above the normal
low of 24F.
