FILTERED SUNSHINE, BUT UNSEASONABLY MILD WITH A LIGHT WIND…
Sunshine has been the theme today only being filtered a bit through
high thin cirrus clouds. With above normal temperatures and a light
wind, it is a great day to be outdoors doing just about any activity.
Temperatures have reached the upper 50s early this afternoon, which
is around 15 or so degrees above the expected high temperature for
this date.
The wind has been quite light, even going calm at times during the
late morning hours. The average speed for the day so far is around
7mph. The peak gust for the day occurred back in the wee hours of
the morning with a value of around 20mph.
Visibility has been somewhat limited today, and actually decreasing
from early this morning. This is due to an increase in general
haziness as the dew point rises (more moisture in the air). The view
was 50 miles early this morning, but has decreased to only around
40 miles by early this afternoon.
The maximum temperature so far today is 58F degrees, which is
15 degrees above the normal high of 43F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 36F degrees, which is 10 degrees above the normal
low of 26F.
